On 14 September 2012, the autumn General Assembly of the European Liberal Forum (ELF) elected a new Board of Directors as well as a new President. German MEP and founding member of ELF, Alexander Graf Lambsdorff MEP, had served the previous five years as President and therefore could not be re-elected.
The delegates of ELF’s 36 member organizations elected Felicita Medved (Slovenia) as the new President of ELF, while Saxon State Minister Dr Jürgen Martens (Germany) was elected Vice President. Roel Martens (The Netherlands) as Treasurer and Andreas Bergström (Sweden) and Giulio Ercolessi (Italy) as Members complete ELF’s new Board of Directors, which will serve a two year term.
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is ELF’s biggest contributor and cooperates either with ELF directly as well as its member organizations through its newly established “Dialogue Programme European Integration”.
