In November the Regional Office for European Institutions and Transatlantic Dialogue of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation will be organising a series of events in cooperation with the European Liberal Forum, ALDE Party and the European Liberal Youth – LYMEC in Lisbon, Portugal. On 18-20 November the members of the Ralf Dahrendorf Taskforce on the Future of Europe will gather for their second workshop to discuss liberal recommendations for the future policies of the EU. A timely discussion – in view of the start of the new European Commission on 1 November.
On 22 November the Ralf Dahrendorf Roundtable “Building Economies for the Future: boosting growth and the environment” will look into the links and the dilemmas that are present in the relation between sustainability policies and the promotion of economic growth, and how Liberals can better contribute to overcoming the dilemma. Finally, a fringe event at the annual ALDE Party Congress will focus on data protection and privacy with speakers from politics, business and civil society.
