Much attention has focused on the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and how it will be affected by Brexit. But there is another border.
Less than one kilometer in length, but across which 13 000 EU citizens commute to work each day: the border between Gibraltar and Spain. Over half of the citizens who cross it to work are Spanish; the others come from different Member States of the EU. Though Spain seeks to prevent discussion of Gibraltar at EU level, their livelihoods may be put at risk by Brexit.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our lunchtime discussion with Gibraltar’s Deputy Chief Minister Joseph Garcia.
