How social should Europe be, how social can Europe be? What should Europe’s social dimension look like in 2025? What can be done by the European Union and what should be done by the Member States themselves?
With the declaration of the European Pillar of Social Rights in November 2017, the discussion on the future social dimension received new impetus. It is a fact that economic success and social fairness are inextricably linked: without competitiveness and growth there will be neither new jobs nor social well-being. At the occasion of the EU Social Summit, the discussion will focus on how we, as European Union, can manage to remain globally competitive in the future, in order to guarantee for investment and economic growth.
