The Kyoto Protocol (1997) has transformed carbon emissions into a new currency; it was able to build a bridge between developed nations and the developing world and, in addition, providing CDM projects.

At the end of this year, almost 200 nations will negotiate a 15-year agreement capable of fostering changes and establish obligations for all nations. Previously resistant nations have already offered ambitious reduction targets and the European Union continues to be the most daring actor. Continue reading
